Reorganization of the HPC Group
One of HPC’s declared aims is to be one of the leading engineering companies in each of he countries where its own subsidiaries are active. Despite years of efforts, we have never succeeded in achieving that desired position in Bulgaria, Romania and to some extent also in Greece. The subsidiaries in those countries, with a total of 24 employees, were therefore sold to the respective local management in the first half of 2017. Co-operation agreements ensure that there will still be close collaboration between the former subsidiaries and the HPC Group in future.
Poland has the largest and fastest-growing economy in the East of the EU. HPC has therefore been trying for years to gain a firm foothold on that market. In June 2017, HPC AG acquired 96 % of the shares of the Polish engineering company POLGEOL S.A. With its headquarters in Warsaw, branches in Lublin and Lodz, 50 employees and a company history going back more than 60 years, the enterprise is one the leading engineering bureaux for hydrogeology, geotechnology and geothermal energy in Poland. The company will in future operate under the name HPC POLGEOL S.A.
We welcome our new colleagues in the HPC Group, which has grown again in total thanks to the new acquisition in Poland, despite the sales of the subsidiaries in the Balkans.
