Information Systems

It's your first stop with your Beetle at the filling station. A bottle of champagne - your girlfriend is waiting in the car. The filling station as a place of romantic transfiguration, this no longer means anything to many operators of a filling station network. For them what's it all about is ...

TankVO, MineralölVwV, TRbF ? etc., etc.
Filling stations sell fuel. They also sell cigarettes, jelly bears, pizza, newspapers and cat food. Can you think of anything else? Certainly. Filling stations - not only due to their cat food - consist of an array of component parts that have to be maintenanced. Maintenance of these parts is subject to strict legal regulations: storage tanks, equipment, pipes, filling places, separators and car wash facilities. And the regulations that must be adhered to are just as various as the maintenance intervals. But that's not all: data on the individual buildings and facilities always have to be up to date. An up-to-date alarm plan in case of an accident and the current drainage plans must be at hand. And all this has to be done for every single filling station of the network. You no longer know where to turn first. How are you to look after what really is your job?

Being free to concentrate
What about someone dealing with all this for you? Someone who sets up a data processing system for you where all-important information is centrally collected. Who enters data on a variety of things such as areas, outlines, descriptions, rooms, zones, proprietorship, age of the objects, maintenance intervals, names, appointments and deadlines into the system and collects these data again in case they've got lost. Wouldn't that be reassuring?

HPC takes on this job for you. Once the system is in operation, external service providers can be integrated much more easily. Servicing and maintenance can be placed into new hands in a quicker and less complicated procedure. And the best thing is: once the information is saved, you can do much more with it. Inventory and advertising can be managed. Authorities, service providers and suppliers are saved in an address data bank. Tedious searching is a thing of the past. You are automatically reminded of appointments. You know that all information is there and you know where it is. You are free again to concentrate on what actually is your job.

What kind of experience will customers make at filling stations in the future? Shall we park an American road cruiser dating from the 1950's at the entrance, window panes lowered, a slow blues coming out of the radio? Would customers like that? At long last, you've got time for making plans again.
